This fantastic kitchen was designed for a repeat customer of ours that was moving house, the kitchen that was in the house was tired & dated with a cream coloured Aga & a huge ceiling boxing with an extractor in the middle of the room. Our customer wanted the room to be light, bright & open with lots of storage & a grand feature island, they also wanted somewhere to display cook books & an American style fridge freezer, but not just plonked on the end, it needed to look like it was part of the kitchen. So we came up with this design which incorporated the Fisher & Paykel American style fridge freezer between some over depth tall units, we used a classic painted Oak shaker style kitchen & then a real wow factor feature worktop, the island was almost 3m long by 1.5m wide all done as one full slab to create the focal point in the room. The built under ovens with induction hob above add the modern range cooker look & the hidden extractor keeps it looking sophisticated & sleek. With tall larder units on the end wall there was plenty of storage & the floor to ceiling book case was enough to give all of their books a new home.
This was a complete job for us, we removed the existing kitchen, including the Aga, moved the electrics & plumbing, plastered the full room & new ceiling with out the big box work for the existing extractor, we installed the complete kitchen & a utility area with new matching flooring all the way through.
